Property Asset Management

Aug 07 in Case study

Industry Sector: Property Asset Management
Location: London

Challenges:

  • Creation of business entity from parent company
  • IT Infrastructure design and deployment for new office location

Solutions:

Data Migration and de-coupling:

Protec worked with the parent company to scoped the current IT platforms, data requirements, licenses and security products and hardware. We developed a plan to migrate all SharePoint/OneDrive user data and company data (applicable to the new business entity), email data and archives along with any IT related application and Office 365 licenses.

User IT Hardware:

Hardware requirements were reviewed and suitable laptop and desktop devices were purchased for the new business entity. The addition of docking station and multi monitors were setup to allow a flexible hot desk environment. All devices were provided with an extended manufacturer on-site Next Business Day break-fix service to ensure minimum downtime from any hardware related issues for the user base, regardless of user location.

Office IT Infrastructure:

Protec worked with our client to design the internal IT infrastructure for the new London based office space. This included such items as a dedicated high sped internet connection with redundant failover. Internal network switches and structured cabling, a high speed, wide coverage WiFi network along with segregated WiFi networks for staff, guests and meeting room AV equipment.
